Global Lens presents: The Prize

Global Lens, a touring film exhibition and collaboration between MoMA and the Global Film Initiative, present the New York premier of “The Prize.” The film, directed and written by Paula Markovitch, is a co-production between Mexico and Argentina.
La Llorona

Teatro Latea and Opera Cultura present the New York premier of “La Llorona.” The play is based on the life of a young Xochil Indian girl who falls desperately in love with a man of Spanish lineage and is tormented by the great Xochil River.
Guitar Marathon: Bell'Italia

92nd Street Y presents a five hour marathon extravaganza to celebrate Italian music of the guitar, from the Renaissance and Baroque to Berio and the music of today. Mexican guitarist Zaira Meneses will be one of the many performers of the marathon.

Don’t miss “Mariela en el Desierto” by Karen Zacarias, one of the most celebrated Mexican American playwrights at the Spanish Repertory Theatre. The play, directed by Jerry Ruiz, will be presented in Spanish (live simultaneous English translation available).
