SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23—PUBLIC READINGS Lark Studio 939 8th Avenue, 2nd Floor (bet. 55th  - 56th Streets) 4PM - DECOMPOSITION (Descomposición) by Jose Alfonso Carcamo Translated by Mariana Carreño King A wrenching portrait of two friends and the actors who play them, confronting the ills of a classist society and discovering that everyone’s soul suffers a process of decomposition. 8PM – THE MAIDS OF HONOUR (Las Meninas) by Ernesto Anaya Translated by Migdalia Cruz Diego Velázquez’s masterpiece, Las Meninas, desperately comes-to-comic-life. With strokes born of desperation, the artist reclaims his artistic soul through the raw humanity of those he truly paints.
