Mexico City's Yautepec Gallery is excited to announce the concluding half of its cross-bordergallery swap with Brooklyn's Live With Animals Gallery, building on the success of their initialMexico City collaboration in August with artists from Live With Animals and Secret Project Robot.

On Friday, December 11th, Yautepec and Live With Animals will inaugurate a show entitled Asesinos — a provocative (and often disturbing) exploration of violence from several uniquelyMexican perspectives. Featuring the artists Artemio, Ruben Gutierrez, Ximena Labra, MarkPowell, Joaquin Segura, and Marion Sosa, Asesinos is an attempt to frame the complex andpervasive nature of violence within a contemporary Mexican society that appears to beincreasingly defined by it.

From the systemic to the intimate, Asesinos presents violence in Mexico in a manner that isequally magnifying glass and mirror, a combination meant to compel a US audience to rethink itsown distance and insulation from the trouble brewing down South.
