The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, by means of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad, invites all children around the world between 7 and 11 years old to participate in the “16^th Children Drawing Contest – This is my Mexico.”

The theme of the work must be “5 de Mayo; 150^th Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla” and must be turned in at the Mexican Embassy or Consulate nearest to your home by March 9^th, 2012. The 15 winners will be selected by a jury made up of specialists in children plastic arts and will be announced on April 20^th through the Embassy/Consulate and on www.ime.gob.mx or www.redesmexico.mx.

Winners may select a prize among the following: computer, digital camera or a drawing set and school materials. Prize should not exceed 1,500 USD.  All participants will receive a diploma and the work may be chosen to be part of an exhibit which will travel around the world or to be illustrated on the 2013 calendar.
