The Patronato de la Universidad del Estado de Hidalgo, A.C. presents the second edition of The International Image Festival (FINI) from April 19-26, 2012. FINI’s 2012 theme is migration, one of the most important human, social, economic and cultural phenomena of our time.

In order to contribute to the worldwide promotion and diffusion of National Culture, the Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Fund for Culture and Arts, calls for foreign Publishers to apply for grants to translate and publish in their national languages the literary works of Mexican authors.

The application receipt deadline for the 2012-2013 Southern Exposure program is February 10, 2012. Program guidelines are available here. The electronic application will be available on the MAAF website in September.
The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts Residencies
The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, NE offers 2- to 8-week residencies year-round for writers, visual artists, and music composers. Housing, studio space, $100/week stipend are provided.
Approximately 50 residencies are awarded per year. Two deadlines each year: postmarked March 1 for the following July through December 15; postmarked September 1 for the following January through June 15.
$25 application fee.
