Since its inception, The Ballet Hispanico Company has roused audiences worldwide with its magnetic energy and vivacious choreography. Under the watchful eye of Artistic Director Tina Ramirez, its 13 members perform works by the foremost Latino choreographers of our time as well as those of emerging artists. Their works fuse Latin dance with elements of classical and contemporary forms to create a new sphere of concert dance in which theatricality and passion propel every move. Over 77 pieces have been commissioned for the Company, conveying a spirit of pride and affinity to audiences in the millions.

Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders is a nonprofit organization (501(c)3) in its sixth year of presenting major collaborative cultural events in the New York City area. It began as an initiative of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance (www.ctmd.org) in the Mexican community of New York. Composed of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans of many generations and occupations, the Mano a Mano Organizing Committee strives to present the rich range of Mexican cultural forms.

Mexican Folkloric Dance Society of New York, Inc. is a non-profit organization, created with the purpose of diffusing Mexican culture and the diverse artistic forms of Mexican folkloric dance. From its inception to the present time, our institution has been developing not only cultural but also social and educational programs for the community at large. Some of our activities have included dance workshops and other promotions targeted to reach the underprivileged young adult community. Our goal is to encourage the development of their human skills and capacities in order to foster better self-esteem, racial pride and the desire to excel. These efforts have benefited more than a thousand people in the Bronx, at not cost to the community.

Thalia Spanish Theatre is Queen's original home for Latino culture. We are the first and only bilingual Hispanic theatre in Queens, serving one of the most diverse communities in the United States, including more than 600,000 Hispanics from every Spanish-speaking nation in the world. In 29 years we have produced more than 100 productions of the best Spanish plays, zarzuelas (Spanish operettas) and folklore shows of music and dance, and earned national recognition as a leader in New York City’s celebrated Spanish theatre movement.
