Calpulli Children's Dance Workshop

Calpulli Mexican Dance Co. announces the 2009 summer session of its children's dance workshop to be held may through August in Queens. The award-winning program serves children 4 to 8 years and 8 to 15 years of age with culturally-enriching classes based on traditional mexican dance. The classes focus on regional dances along with lessons in history, movement fundamentals, esteem building, and team work. The program is funded by voluntary donations. All families are invited to bring their children to this unique arts experience made up of fun, exercise, and learning. In July, an additional class wil ltake place on Mondays from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Arts Cure Center to coincide with summer vacations. The session is planned to conclude with a public performance on August 1st at the Langston Hughes Library in Corona, Queens.
