Last Chance to See Diego Rivera's Murals
November 13, 2011 - May 14, 2012
This exhibition brings together key works made for Rivera’s 1931 exhibition, for the first time in nearly 80 years. Along with mural panels, the show includes full-scale drawings, smaller working drawings, archival materials related to the commission and production of these works, and designs for Rivera’s famous Rockefeller Center mural.

ISCP Open Studios
May 11-13, 2012
Open Studios will present work by the 36 artists, collectives and curators from 24 countries and territories currently in residence at ISCP. Mexican artist Hilario Ortega will present “When everything matches and it is possible…” a project that reflects on cycle, work, joy, absurdity, opening, rotation, renovation and exhaustion.

Artist in Conversation: Abraham Cruzvillegas

In Conjunction with Frieze New York, Americas Society will host a conversation between Mexican artist Abraham Cruzvillegas and Mónica de la Torre, senior editor for BOMB magazine. The artist will discuss Cruzvillegas' extensive work, including his sculptures, installations, and show excerpts from his film "Autoconstrucción" (Autoconstruction).

Instituto Cervantes welcomes Mexican writer Carmen Boullosa and Spanish writer Irene Garcia for a round table discussion on their latest books. Boullosa will present La patria insomne (Hiperión, 2011), a collection of poems about the present violence in the heart of Mexico and García will talk about El beso del angel (Siruela, 2011).
